Our Client is the Polish subsidiary of an international group active in the agricultural and food sector.
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead commercial activities for a portfolio of specialty grains, like low-carbon grains, regenerative-agriculture crops, customized protein-level grains, food- grade grains, and low GHG-oilseed rape. This is a value-chain, relationship-driven role, with focus on direct sales to mills, crushers, and processors within the food, feed, and fuel sectors.
The Grain Sales Manager will be responsible for developing long-term strategic relationships, cultivating new demand, and positioning the company’s specialty grains as high-value solutions for industrial buyers.
Stanowisko
Create demand and sales opportunities for specialty grains
- Identify, develop, and expand direct customer relationships with mills, crushers, food processors, feed manufacturers, and biofuel companies.
- Create and execute a sales strategy for specialty grains, focusing on long-term supply agreements rather than spot or wholesale markets.
- Build and nurture new demand channels by understanding customer needs in sustainability, product specifications, traceability, and processing performance.
- Lead price negotiations, contract terms, and volume planning in collaboration with supply chain and agronomy teams.
- Establish the company as a premium organization and boost a positive image around the company’s activities.
- Constantly monitor the market for ongoing changes, innovations and trends, regulations and certification requirements regarding carbon reduction, traceability and regenerative agriculture, and identify sales opportunities.
- Cooperate with the Agro team to ensure alignment of purchase and sales. Provide customer feedback to internal teams to support product development, agronomy planning, and sustainable sourcing initiatives.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning.
- In this role You closely cooperate with and report to the Commercial Director.
Profil
Ambitious Sales Manager with deep understanding of agricultural & food commodities market
Requirements:
- Higher education, preferably related to agri and food business.
- 2–5+ years of experience in grain sales, commodity merchandising, ingredient sales, or B2B food/agri-supply management, with a strong network in the food or feed industry.
- Strong knowledge of grain markets, quality specifications, and industrial processing requirements.
- Familiarity with sustainable agriculture, low-carbon supply chains, or regenerative farming is a strong advantage.
- Fluency in Polish and English.
Competences:
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills. Able to articulate technical value in simple commercial terms.
- Entrepreneurial approach with a strong ability to create demand for new product categories and to effectively react on business opportunities.
- Goal oriented, self-propelled with excellent time management skills.
- Relationship-driven with a long-term commercial mindset, ability to build and maintain multi-year customer relationships.
