AAT is pleased to announce that it is offering an immediate position in its department for “in-ovo Sex Determination” as a Master Thesis / Career Start.
Thesis: Automated spectroscopic analysis of hatching eggs under field conditions - description, evaluation and outlook
Your tasks include a technical description of AAT’s approach to analysing the quality of hatching eggs at an early stage of development. The central component of this task is the execution and supervision of test series, as well as the evaluation of the classification accuracy and hatching rates. The evaluation of the practicality as well as perspectives, sum up the job scope.
When composing the thesis for your master's, you will work closely with our product management and receive the support you require for data collection and analysis.
To qualify for this position, you should already have a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science and be in a course for a Master's Degree in Livestock Science or Agribusiness.
You should have strong communication skills, like to think in terms of technical and economic tasks in the area of livestock science, and possess a good command of the English language.
Organisational skills, willingness to travel, independent and a solution-oriented work attitude, as well as a high degree of flexibility and self-motivation, complete your profile.
The successful completion of the project will serve as a base for good prospects for a potential employment thereafter. You will be offered to visit several hatcheries (also international) and to gain practical specialist’s knowledge in all aspects of in-egg embryo development. During the project (up to 6 months) you will also receive a monthly allowance and your housing costs are covered.
